Open Question » Canada's Role In the Georgian-Russian War?

The Question is Canada's Role In the Georgian-Russian War?

As in question itself are a lot of findings,
my answer had to relate those things as well:

Everybody knows today weaknesses of own and neighbor countries, but to paint all things so black & White, is wrong. Russia is far away and Canada/Canadians know less about this country.

I think that American Interests (I mean continent/alliances) are still in Canadian interest. To show your (political) friends, you are not standing with them, can be incorrigible mistake, as you don't know when YOU need their help. And if you don't like USA, does it makes Russia automatically better partner for future? :) It's better for Canada to stand behind somebody as jump in front of somebody. It means do what everybody aspect you to do. It's better for Canada, I think so.

So my answer is, you should stand, where you belong. And in case, that you would like to make corrections on your 'friends' behavior, work on it, instead of running to Russia ;)

And as Georgian I know that nobody cares on us, as we have for world politic, as you said 0 importance, but it's first unfair, against international law and second very bad example what Russia can do ... and not only against small neighbors. So by ignoring or giving unjust less importance will not help at all. You have to face it.

P.S. to remind everybody here
On Aug. 2, after being escorted by a nuclear-powered icebreaker and another research vessel, two Russian mini-submarines traveled more than two miles below the ice at the North Pole and planted a titanium Russian flag in the seafloor, claiming the underwater territory for Moscow.

Do you remember suffer of civilians?

War hurts only victims, a specially (if among them are) civilians. Who wants a war, for him it's a game to win or to loose (usually is winning await). Every party can try to solve the problem peacefully, even to try to stop the aggressor peacefully, to negotiate. But they don't do. And probably their is really no way out of war when somebody wants to win and knows that he will win and don't want to give up for any peaceful dialog, because the War promise them greater success (?) on cost of civilians, on cost of human lives, on cost of peoples suffer. Afterwords in Median Warier breaks out in tears that they done it ALL FOR HUMAN LIVES, ALL FOR HUMANITY and they just wanted to 'keep a peace'...

Nothing spawns conspiracy theories like war in a remote place. The
latest one comes from a singularly well-placed source. In an interview...

Is it only Georgias problem?!

Since August 8th when this horrible conflict started between Russia and Georgia I havent slept for more than 4 hours a day. I am terrified and horrified by what Russian army is doing Georgia. I am worried about my family who is there and about every Georgian that is experiencing this horror. But I am even more horrified by the passivity of the international community and most of all apathy of ordinary people. Many of my so called friends have written me emails demanding to stop sending them information about the situation in Georgia because they hate war. Does anybody like war?! If we talk about it it is only because we want to stop it, because we want the world to see what atrocities are committed in Georgia right now and how many innocent people have died and are still continued to be killed right this moment.

I dont know how can I explain to these people that this is not only Georgia's problem. Killings of innocent people regardless of their origin have to be stopped!!! What happened in Rwanda, Chechnya what is happening in Darfur and Georgia these are all results of this apathy and not caring what is going on elsewhere.

Couple of weeks ago I would have never imagined that this would happen in Georgia, why is everybody so sure that this will not repeat itself in their countries, in their cities, in their homes?!
